Starting in Randbøldal, the route takes you through Frederikshåb Plantation and past Bindeballe Købmandsgård, where a detour to the Syvårssøerne (Seven Year Lakes) and a visit to the white sand dunes is recommended.
The Plantation Route is a local cycle route starting in the valley of Randbøldal and passing through the woods of Frederikshåb Plantation, where a detour to the Syvårssøerne (Seven Year Lakes) and a visit to the white sand dunes is recommended.
Frederikshåb Plantation is home to several World War II memorials when occupying German forces hid aircraft and fuel storage systems here used for Vandel Airfield located north of the woods.
From Frederikshåb Plantage the route passes Liegård Plantation and continues to Bindeballe, where the Bindeballe Købmandsgård merchant house museum from 1897 is still abuzz with life and dolent of freshly ground coffee. The tour from Frederikshåb Plantation can be extended with a detour to the heathlands of Randbøl Hede.
